Which songs did the majority of people use their smartphones to identify this year? Apple Music revealed 2023 ‘s most-shazamed tracks.
Rema is at number one, which shouldn’t be surprising since it’s probably the song that most people have heard from the Afrobeats singer. Miley’s chart-topping song “Flowers” is ranked second.
Lady Gaga follows with “Bloody Mary”, the 2011 track which became viral after it was used in TikTok video of people performing the Wednesday Dance.
The list also includes “Unholy” from Sam Smith, Kim Petras, and Jain’s viral “Makeba,” “Daylight” (David Kushner), “Creepin” (Metro Boomin’, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage), “Escapism”, “070 Shake” and RAYE, and “Players” (“Lift Me up”) by Rihanna.
Apple Music also published its list of The Most Read Lyrics in 2023. At the top of that chart was SZA’s “Kill Bill,” possibly because many people were curious to know if SZA had indeed killed her ex.
SZA’s song “Snooze,” Miley’s track “Flowers,” and “Boy’s a Liar” are also included. Pink Pantheress by Ice Spice. Olivia Rodrigo “Vampire”, Taylor Swift “Anti-Hero”, and “Cruel Summer” are also on the list.
