Rupert Murdoch Marrying Again?

He’s set to marry Ann Lesley Smith, a 66-year-old former dental hygienist who now works as a police chaplain and radio personality.

The engagement was first reported by Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post.

Murdoch’s breakup from Jerry Hall, a model and actor who is also the mother of his four children with Mick Jagger, comes less than a year after he and Hall divorced.

Murdoch and Hall got married in 2016, but they divorced the following year. In 2022, Murdoch reportedly met Smith at Smith’s vineyard and winery in Bel-Air in September.

Murdoch’s first wife, Patricia Booker, whom he married in 1956 and divorced in 1967, was followed by marriages to Anna Maria Torv (1967-1999) and Wendi Deng (2000-2013).

Smith was previously married to attorney John B. Huntington, whom she described as “a descendent of one of California’s pioneering railroad families,” according to the Daily Mail.

.According to the Daily Mail, she found solace in modelling and Christianity before meeting country music star and media magnate Chester Smith during her time as a volunteer police chaplain.

After being hitched in 2005, the couple made a country album together titled “Captured by Love,” which featured 13 songs.

Chester has one foot on the front bumper while strumming a guitar and Ann Lesley is dressed as a police chaplain in the cover photo taken in front of a Rolls-Royce. Sadly, Chester passed away in 2008 at the age of 78.

The Post reports that the media mogul popped the question to Smith on New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day with a solitaire diamond cut in the style of an Asscher.

Dominion Voting Systems has filed a defamation lawsuit against Murdoch’s Fox News network for $1.6 billion, claiming that the network spread false reports that the company tampered with votes in the 2020 presidential election.

Murdoch may have to divide his time between wedding preparations and the lawsuit.
